Exciting News: Free Tegus Subscription With Your Course Enrollment!

That’s nice, you might think…but what the heck is Tegus?

Tegus is a research platform and an expert network service combined into one.

It’s typically used by institutional investors like sell-side analysts and mutual fund or hedge fund managers. As it turns out, it’s also incredibly valuable for students.

Let me explain.

Many investment professionals, myself included, use expert call networks to better understand the industries and companies they’re considering investing in.

So, for example, let’s say I’m looking to understand the current state of technology for self-driving cars. I’ll contact Tegus and tell them what I’m looking for.

They’ll provide me with a list of experts.

That may include former engineers from Waymo who left the company to start their own company or someone who was recently a state regulator that assessed the data provided by the self-driving car companies.

I’d select one of the experts, Tegus would set up a time, and I’d speak to that expert and get answers to my questions.

What makes Tegus different from other companies that do this is that they record, anonymize, and transcribe those calls. They then put the transcripts on their platform and make them available to subscribers.

That’s what you’ll get access to. The repository of all those calls. They have over 100,000 expert call transcripts on their platform.

So, how does this help you?

This tool will help you research the company before an interview like nothing else.

Let’s say you’re interviewing with AutoZone 🚘.

All you have to do is type it into the search bar, and it will pull up a list of transcripts where they were talking about the company. I did that recently and came up with 4 transcripts of calls on AutoZone since September.

Imagine how much more deeply you’ll know about the company after reading those transcripts.

And how much more thoroughly you’ll understand the challenges they’re facing.

And how you can contribute to solving them!

This could put you head and shoulders over your competition.

I’ll get into more ways you can use this as we go through the course (including how to use it to get higher grades), but for now, let me just say this is going to give you a big leg up.
